Smecta is composed of DIOSMECTITE (3 g/sachet), a natural clay that covers and protects the digestive mucosa

Smecta is indicated for symptomatic treatment in case of:

- Acute diarrhea in children and infants, and adults in addition to oral rehydration.

- Chronic diarrhea.

- Pain related to digestive diseases affecting the esophagus, stomach and/or intestine

Smecta is indicated for the treatment of traveler's diarrhea

What to do in case of traveler's diarrhea?

Traveler's diarrhea should be treated like any acute diarrhea:

- Rehydrate well by frequently drinking salty and sweet beverages: water, sugared water, soft drinks

- Adapt your diet: prepare lighter and more frequent meals, and prefer easily digestible foods.

- Medications: Smecta according to dosage

SMECTA DOSAGE

- Adults: 1 sachet diluted in half a glass of water every 8 hours

- Children under 1 year: 1 sachet diluted in water and divided into three doses.

- Children from 1 to 2 years: 2 sachets diluted in water and divided into three doses.

- Children over 2 years: 2/3 sachets diluted in water and divided into three doses.
