The tendon is a strong structure of fibrous connective tissue designed to transmit forces from the muscle to the bone and to withstand load during muscle contraction. Indication
Ostenil Tendon - provides rapid symptom relief in painful tendinopathy. It is injected into the tendon sheath (intrasheath injection) or around the affected tendon (peritendinous injection).
It is a transparent solution of natural and highly purified sodium hyaluronate obtained by fermentation, and is free of animal proteins. It also contains mannitol, a free radical scavenger that helps stabilize the sodium hyaluronate chains. In biocompatibility studies it has been shown to be particularly safe.
Use of Ostenil Tendon Pre-filled Syringe 2 ml
Ostenil Tendon - the injections are administered by your doctor around the affected tendon or into its sheath once a week for a total of 2 injections. Several tendons can be treated at the same time, as well as repeated treatments, as needed.
Ingredients Ostenil Tendon Pre-filled Syringe 2 ml
1 ml of isotonic solution contains 20.0 mg of sodium hyaluronate as well as sodium chloride, disodium phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, mannitol and water for injections.
The content and outer surface of the pre-filled syringe Ostenil Tendon are sterile as long as the sterile packaging remains intact. Remove the pre-filled syringe from the sterile package, unscrew the Luer-lok cap, attach a suitable needle (for example, 25-27G) and secure it with a slight twist. So far there is no information on the incompatibility of Ostenil Tendon with other drugs used in the tendon sheath.

Warning
- Caution should be exercised in patients with known hypersensitivity to medicinal products. Likewise, general precautions for peritendinous or intratendinous sheath injections should be observed.
- Ostenil Tendon should be injected precisely into the tendon sheath or around the affected tendon, under imaging control if necessary.
- Avoid nerve injuries and injections into blood vessels.
- Since there are no clinical data on the use of sodium hyaluronate in children or in pregnant or breastfeeding women, treatment with Ostenil Tendon is not recommended in these cases.
- Do not use if the pre-filled syringe or sterile blister is damaged.
- Open solutions that were not used must be discarded immediately, as sterility after this is no longer guaranteed.
- Store between 2°C and 25°C.
- Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the box.
