NUROFEN RAPID 400 MG - 10 CAPSULES
NUROFEN RAPID 400 MG - 10 CAPSULES
Description
Nurofen Rapid 400 mg soft capsules is a medicine whose active ingredient is ibuprofen, therefore it is used to relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, toothache, muscle or menstrual pain, as well as to relieve fever. Its presentation in liquid capsules allows Nurofen Rapid to be absorbed 3 times faster than the same dose of ibuprofen in tablets, acting quickly against pain. This medicine is indicated for adults and adolescents from 12 years of age.
It is important to note that you should consult a doctor if your condition worsens or does not improve when taking this medicine, if the fever persists for more than 3 days or the pain for more than 3 days in adolescents or 5 days in adults.
Directions for Use
When taking Nurofen Rapid, you should do so following the instructions in the leaflet or the indications given by your doctor. If you have any doubts, it is advisable to contact your doctor or pharmacist to ensure correct use of this medication.
These are the instructions on how to take Nurofen Rapid and the recommended doses:
- As long as you are over 12 years old, the dose is one 400 mg soft capsule every 6 or 8 hours. The maximum daily dose is 3 capsules and should only be taken in full if necessary.
- Patients suffering from kidney, heart or liver conditions should consult their doctor for the exact dose, as it may need to be reduced.
- Patients over 65 years of age should also consult the exact required dose, as it may be lower than that recommended for adult patients.
It is advisable to take the lowest possible dose, that is, the lowest effective dose in each case and for the shortest possible period of time, until the discomfort decreases. If the condition persists or other symptoms appear, you should consult a doctor to study your case more closely.
This is the proper way to take Nurofen Rapid:
- Take it orally with a little water to swallow it completely.
- It is recommended to take Nurofen Rapid at mealtime or with a glass of milk to reduce the possibility of stomach discomfort.
- When the pain disappears, the use of this medicine should be discontinued.
- A doctor should be consulted when adolescents between 12 and 18 years old need the medicine for more than 3 consecutive days to relieve pain or fever, or if more symptoms appear.
- A doctor should be consulted when adults over 18 years old need the medicine for more than 5 days to relieve pain or fever and/or if more symptoms appear.
