Description


Advilmed 400 mg is a medicine that contains ibuprofen, an active ingredient with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. It is available in 400 mg film-coated tablets.


Advilmed 400 mg is indicated for the symptomatic relief of occasional mild or moderate pain, such as:

  • Headache
  • Toothache
  • Menstrual pain
  • Muscle pain (contractures)
  • Back pain (lumbago)
  • Fever



Directions for Use


The recommended dose of Advilmed 400 mg for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1 to 2 tablets (400–800 mg) every 4–6 hours, depending on the intensity of the pain or fever. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 2400 mg (6 tablets).

Advilmed 400 mg tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. They should not be chewed, sucked or dissolved.

Composition


Advilmed 400 mg should not be taken in case of allergy to ibuprofen or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Its use is also not recommended in patients with active gastric or intestinal ulcers, severe kidney or liver disease, or heart failure.

Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Advilmed 400 mg.

Advilmed 400 mg may have some side effects, such as gastrointestinal discomfort (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), dizziness, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and skin rashes.
