What is Olfen Forte?

Olfen Forte is a locally acting medicine that contains diclofenac as the active ingredient. It belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs.

What is Olfen Forte used for?

Olfen Forte gel is indicated in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age for the short-term symptomatic and local treatment of mild to moderate pain in:

Strains.

Sprains.

Acute contusions.

After a closed injury.

Dosage

The recommended dose of Olfen Forte gel in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age is: the amount of a cherry or walnut, depending on the area to be treated, equivalent to 1 to 4 g of gel, 2 times a day, preferably in the morning and at night.

The maximum daily dose is 8 grams of gel.

If symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 to 5 days, consult a doctor.

Administration

Apply only on intact, non-diseased or uninjured skin.

Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

The gel is for topical application on the skin only, never for oral use.

After applying the gel to the skin, you may use a breathable, non-occlusive bandage, but allow the gel to dry on the skin for a few minutes.

Do not use with a tight occlusive bandage.
