Description
Ibuprofen Rapid Stadapharm 400 mg oral suspension sachets is a medicine whose active ingredient is ibuprofen. It works by reducing pain and fever.
Directions for Use
Dosage
- The recommended dose in adults and adolescents (weighing more than 40 kg) from 12 years of age is: 1 sachet (400 mg of ibuprofen) every 4 to 8 hours, depending on the intensity of the symptoms and the response to treatment.
- Do not take more than 3 sachets (1,200 mg) in 24 hours.
- Elderly patients: the dosage will be established by the doctor, as a reduction of the usual dose may be necessary. They are usually more prone to adverse effects.
- Patients with kidney, liver, or heart disease: Reduce the dose and consult your doctor. Ibuprofen should not be used in patients with severe renal, hepatic, or cardiac insufficiency.
- If symptoms worsen, if fever persists for more than 3 days or pain for more than 5 days (3 days in adolescents), you should consult your doctor.
- The administration of this medicine depends on the appearance of pain or fever; once these disappear, the medication should be discontinued.
- Use in children and adolescents: the use of this medicine is not recommended in children or adolescents weighing less than 40 kg.
Method of Administration
- It is taken orally.
- The suspension must be homogenized before taking it; you will see the images in the leaflet.
- Press the upper and lower parts of the sachet several times with your fingers.
- Then press from top to bottom and vice versa for at least 30 seconds.
- It can be taken directly from the sachet or diluted in water.
- In case of digestive discomfort, it is recommended to take the medicine with meals.
